Data controller

If a question concerns a confirmed training contract, the same desk remains the controller unless a written agreement names another party (for example, your employer when they book a Private Map and send us a participant list).
What we collect
From the contact and enquiry forms: name, email, optional topic, and the message you write. You may include product facts; please avoid pasting end-user personal data from your app. From email and phone: the content of the conversation and numbers or addresses you volunteer. From the site technically: server logs such as IP address, time, and requested path, kept at the host’s default for security. From cookies: see Cookies — essential storage for your consent choice, and analytics cookies only if you accept.
We do not ask for payment card data on this site. Invoices, when they exist, are handled off-site by arrangement.
Why we use it
To answer enquiries and place seats (legitimate interests in running an education atelier, and contract steps where you ask to enrol). To keep the site secure (legitimate interests). To send a reply you requested (steps toward a contract, or consent where you simply asked a question). To understand which pages are read, only if you accept analytics cookies (consent).
We do not sell personal data. We do not use form contents to train public generative models.
Retention
Unsuccessful enquiries are kept for 18 months so we can recognise a continuing conversation, then deleted or reduced to a minimal record if a legal hold applies. Confirmed students’ contact details and critique correspondence are kept for six years after the season ends, which covers ordinary accounting and complaint windows in the United Kingdom. Server logs follow the host’s cycle, typically under 90 days. Cookie consent records in your browser remain until you clear storage; we do not keep a parallel server profile of that click.
If you join a Reading Circle, we keep the salon roster for the life of the membership year plus 12 months.
Who we share with
Tutors engaged to teach a room receive the minimum needed (your name, organisation if relevant, and submitted work). Email hosting and the party that serves this domain process data as processors under instruction. We may disclose information if required by law in the United Kingdom. We do not share student lists with marketing brokers.
International transfers
Our desk is in the United Kingdom. Some processors (for example, font or image networks, or email infrastructure) may store or access data in other countries, including the United States. Where a transfer of personal data leaves the United Kingdom, we rely on the UK adequacy regulations where they apply, or on standard contractual clauses / the UK addendum, and on encryption in transit. Image and font requests from your browser to those networks are initiated by your device when a page loads; see Cookies for what we consider optional.
Your rights
Under United Kingdom data protection law you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You may ask for a portable copy of data you provided. You may withdraw cookie consent without losing access to the site. These rights are not absolute; we will explain if an exemption applies (for example, keeping an invoice).
To exercise rights, write to info@api-maphub.digital with “Privacy” in the subject. We may need to confirm it is you. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with our reply.
Children
Programmes are aimed at working product professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, contact the desk and we will delete it.
Automated decisions
We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Form routing is not of that kind.
